The importance of parent involvement
Our focus is on children and families and we place great importance on building strong partnerships with families. Recognising parents as the main educators, we acknowledge their expertise in understanding their child’s needs. By using the parents’ insights on their child and what makes them unique, we strive to meet each child’s needs effectively.
We engage with children in real-time as their interests and enthusiasms evolve continually. To stay informed about what matters most in your child’s life, we will send parent contribution forms periodically. We hold regular parents’ evenings and encourage open discussions during handovers to ensure effective communication between you and your child’s designated carer.
As per the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), “Good parenting and high-quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.” This highlights the crucial connection between the nursery and home environment.
We respect the unique characteristics and backgrounds of our families and actively encourage parental involvement to promote the sharing, acceptance, and celebration of our diverse community.
