As part of our exploration of the Diwali festival, the children used their artistic skills to decorate their hands with henna (child safe) , also known as Mehndi. This tradition involves drawing intricate patterns on the hands and arms and is believed to bring good luck. Together, we studied pictures of these patterns and then created our own designs using a mixture of talcum powder, food coloring, and water.
Engaging in Diwali activities like this provides an opportunity for children to learn about different beliefs and practice respect alongside their peers.
