We are delighted to share a number of recent improvements that have been made throughout our nursery to further enhance the learning, development, and wellbeing of all children in our care.

One of our most exciting updates is the transformation of our Snug into a vibrant Ocean Sensory Room. Designed specifically for our 2–3-year-olds, but ibtended for all children to enjoy, this engaging space now features a range of sensory equipment that encourages exploration, imagination, and sensory development in a calm and stimulating environment.

Within our Dragonfly (preschool) Room, we have refreshed the space by replacing the existing sofa. We have also enhanced the baby carpet area with the addition of a new cot and comfortable sofa, creating an even more welcoming and nurturing environment for our youngest children.

Our Ladybird (toddler) room has also benefited from several improvements. A beautiful new wooden teepee has been introduced to inspire imaginative play, alongside new low-level toy storage units that make resources more accessible and encourage children to independently select and return their toys.

Outside, the Dragonfly Room’s outdoor classroom has been upgraded with a new seating area, providing children with a comfortable space for outdoor learning. We have also repositioned the learning board to improve accessibility and added a handwashing unit and wooden gates to support both hygiene and safe access to the area.

In our Butterfly (baby) Garden, we have replaced the adult seating with a child-sized sofa and introduced low-level toy storage, creating a more child-centred environment that promotes independent exploration and play.

Finally, our Ladybirds’ outdoor area has seen the addition of a new roof over the sandpit, allowing children to enjoy sand play in a wider range of weather conditions. We have also installed a large whiteboard for free painting and mark-making activities, helping to support the development of gross motor skills, creativity, and self-expression.

These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality learning environments that inspire curiosity, independence, and development. We look forward to seeing the children enjoy and benefit from these exciting new additions.
