A family run business

About us…

At Childerwood Nursery, we are dedicated to ‘Growing Learners for Life’ and our Early Years approach focuses on offering children a top-quality education through a child-centred method.

Established in 2014 by Elizabeth Martin and her son, Paul Murdoch, our setting benefits from Eliz’s 30+ years of experience in Childcare. She drew upon her expertise from previous roles to create this thriving Nursery located within the school grounds of Drayton Community Infant School.

Initially catering for children aged 2-5 years, in 2012 we expanded to include babies. Presently, we have 42 funded and non-funded spaces available for children aged between 0-5 years.

At Childerwood Nursery, every child, family, and team member is important. We believe in building relationships through attentive listening to support all individuals in reaching their full potential. Our inclusive learning community cherishes diversity, promoting a welcoming, respectful, and encouraging environment for collective growth and learning. Maintaining a high-quality nursery team dedicated to children’s safety and well-being is our top priority
